Police: DC Armed Robbery Victim Shot After Turning Over Belongings

Washington, DC- After turning up his possessions during an armed robbery on Saturday night in the District, the victim was shot by the shooter, according to the police.

At nine o’clock at night, there was gunfire in the 900 block of 12th Street. According to investigators, two suspects approached the man while he was strolling on U Street and demanded his possessions. Police said that despite the victim’s cooperation, one of the suspects shot him before the two gunmen left the area.

The victim’s non-life-threatening injuries were treated at a nearby hospital after being transferred there.
