According to Falls Township police, Karen Stevens-Nunez was apprehended in Trenton on the morning of July 1st.
According to a criminal complaint, a wellness check was requested at 4 p.m. on June 29th and an officer was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival at the Fairless Hills Self Storage parking lot, located at 495 South Oxford Valley Road, the officer found Stevens-Nunez.
According to the police report, the officer approached the woman’s vehicle and parked his car behind hers while she was sitting outside with the driver’s side door open.
According to the complaint, when the officer saw her take out a black handgun and point it at him, he immediately pulled up and ordered her to drop the weapon through the loudspeaker. After that, Stevens-Nunez got into her car and drove off at high speed, as per the police report.
According to the police, a short pursuit took place on South Oxford Valley Road before continuing onto Trenton Road. Witnesses reported that the woman was shouting out of her car window and displaying a firearm that was kept inside a cardboard box.
According to authorities, Stevens-Nunez was able to evade the officer by reaching speeds of up to 89 mph on South Olds Boulevard, causing the officer to lose sight of him.
Authorities have reported that she was apprehended in Trenton, facing charges of aggravated assault and attempting to flee or elude.
