One person killed in a fatal collision on Baxter Road in Virginia Beach

An accident has claimed the life of a man on Baxter Road in Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach police were dispatched to the intersection of Kenley Road and Baxter Road on Friday, November 17 shortly after 6:30 p.m. in response to a three-vehicle collision that included a motorcycle.

Shawn Martin, 42, of Virginia Beach was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the police.

Initial inquiries indicate that the motorcycle collided with a Honda Accord at the intersection. The collision occurred when the Honda struck a Nissan that was stationary at a traffic light.

The VBPD Traffic Safety Unit is investigating this incident at this time. It is strongly requested that anyone with information regarding this case contact the VBPD Special Operations Bureau at 757-385-4606 or Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP in an anonymous capacity.
