On July 2, Jon Parcus sustained gunshot wounds on Swancott Rd. in Triana.

At 5 p.m., Swancott Road was the location of the shooting incident.

After receiving initial medical attention at Huntsville Hospital, Parcus was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital for further treatment.

According to Parcus’ family, he fell into a coma and suffered multiple strokes. The doctors informed them that even if he had survived, he would have had to spend the rest of his life being cared for in a nursing home and relying on a tracheotomy and feeding tube.

In broad daylight on July 2nd, Jon Parcus was shot while on Swancott Road.

Parcus passed away on July 18th after a prolonged battle. His funeral service is scheduled for July 26th.

The authorities at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office have stated that they are still actively searching for the perpetrator.
