NYPD officer injured while attempting to remove motorcyclists from Central Park

An investigation is currently underway into a hit-and-run incident involving an NYPD officer who courageously attempted to remove three motorcyclists from Central Park.

The NYPD has released images of the individuals sought in connection with an incident that occurred around 4 p.m. on Friday near West Drive and West 90th Street.

The police reported that as the officer tried to escort the group out of the park, one of the individuals unexpectedly struck him, causing him to fall to the ground. Subsequently, the suspects swiftly fled the scene.

The officer was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital by first responders to receive medical treatment for his minor injuries.

According to the police, one of the suspects was spotted riding a red motorcycle, while all three individuals are described as having a medium complexion and build.
