NY Driver Reports Carjacking in Hackensack During Early Morning Hours

Hackensack police are currently investigating a carjacking incident reported by a New York man that allegedly took place at a local Wawa in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to Captain Michael Antista, the officer in charge of the department, the 43-year-old driver reported to the police that four male robbers had forcefully taken several belongings from his 2018 Land Rover. The incident took place outside a convenience store on South River Street, across from the ShopRite plaza, at approximately 4:30 a.m. on April 22.

According to the captain, there were no reported injuries and no detailed descriptions were provided.

City detectives were actively searching for clues through surveillance videos in the area.
