Earlier this week, law enforcement officials made a significant arrest in Rome. A woman from the city is now facing multiple charges related to drugs and weapons.
On Saturday, April 27 at around 12:27 p.m., Kayla Diane Jordan had a search warrant served at her residence located at 639 Elliot Drive by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
During the search, deputies discovered various illicit substances, including several pounds of marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, THC edibles, and resin. They also found packaging materials commonly used for drug distribution, as well as digital scales.
According to law enforcement officials, Jordan, who has a history of criminal convictions, was found to possess several firearms within his residence.
She faced serious charges for her involvement with drugs and firearms. Specifically, she was accused of possessing marijuana, intending to distribute controlled substances, possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, and using drug-related objects. These charges included multiple felony counts, such as possession with intent to distribute and possession of a Schedule 1 controlled substance.
