According to the Political Projections Report, a staggering $10.69 billion is expected to be spent on advertising throughout the country. Among the seven consensus battleground states, North Carolina falls behind Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Michigan.

According to the latest report, North Carolina received a total of $172 million during the presidential primary season, with contributions from both Republicans and Democrats. Although this amount is $71.11 million less than the previous report, it still ranks as the seventh-highest in the country.
In the upcoming 2024 election, ad spending is expected to be heavily influenced by political interest groups.
North Carolina is a key swing state that Planned Parenthood is targeting with a specific ad campaign aimed at flipping the state. With a track record of 60 years and 14 presidential elections, the state has only been won by two Republican candidates – Gerald Ford (1976, to Jimmy Carter) and John McCain (2008, to Barack Obama).
According to the Political Projections Report, advertising during the upcoming election cycle is expected to grow by 19% compared to the 2020 election season.
According to AdImpact’s latest report, as of June 30th, they have identified over 7,400 distinct political television advertisements. This number is 700 more than what was detected during the same period in 2022 and 2,600 more than in 2020.
