Atlanta has recently appointed a new manager responsible for overseeing its vibrant nightlife and rich cultural scene.
On Thursday, Mayor Andre Dickens appointed Kristin Edwards to the position under the Office of Film, Entertainment, and Nightlife.
Edwards will serve as a bridge between the city and its vibrant nightlife industry, according to Dickens.
According to Dickens, significant progress has been made in strengthening the City’s relationship with Atlanta’s nightlife community in recent years. Through initiatives like Training Day workshops and direct outreach, tangible outcomes have been achieved, benefiting residents, visitors, and operators alike. The city’s vibrant nightlife scene has become a source of enjoyment for all. With the addition of Kristin to the team, the focus will be on further enhancing these relationships to ensure a safe and thriving nightlife environment.
The content of these training day workshops remains ambiguous, leaving us uncertain about their specific details and activities.
Before joining the team, Edwards held positions as the Director of Special Events and Facilities for the City of Winder, as well as the Member Services Events Manager for the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce for Duluth.
