On Friday morning, Vice President Kamala Harris is set to arrive in Atlanta to attend various events in the city.
According to Harris’ representatives, the Vice President is slated to attend a downtown event alongside Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Councilwoman Collier Overstreet, as part of her and President Joe Biden’s campaign for reelection. The event will specifically center around the senior citizen community.
As per the event advisory, Seniors for Biden will launch the morning event, where Harris will counter recent remarks. The campaign alleged that these comments were attacks made by former President Donald Trump on Social Security and Medicare.
As part of her national Economic Opportunity Tour, Harris is scheduled to attend a moderated conversation during the 100 Black Men of America’s 38th Annual Conference later in the day.
