Two drivers are facing charges in relation to a crash that resulted in the death of a 1-year-old child and caused injuries to several others.
The crash occurred shortly after 7:12 p.m. on April 1 near Interstate 75 in Spalding County. Georgia State Patrol has officially charged Riley Cassar, 20, and Ti’Asia Hill, 33, with the incident, as confirmed by Channel 2 Action News.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, their preliminary investigation revealed that Hill lost control of her Hyundai Sonata, resulting in a collision with both a guardrail and a tractor-trailer.
According to witness statements and recently obtained dash camera footage, it was later determined by GSP that Cassar, driving a Volkswagen Passat, had made an improper lane change, resulting in a collision with Hill’s vehicle.
