MTA bus collides with SUV following attempted escape from traffic stop in the Bronx

The police have apprehended a driver who tried to escape during a routine traffic stop and ended up crashing into an MTA bus in the Bronx.

According to authorities, the collision occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of East 204 Street and Valentine Avenue.

According to reports, the officers were attempting to pull over a vehicle at the designated location. However, it was observed that a gray SUV swiftly maneuvered around two cars and blatantly ignored a red traffic light.

At the location, the MTA BX2 bus was hit by an SUV in an accordion-style crash.

Although the driver declined medical assistance, authorities eventually arrested them.

According to the authorities, EMS is currently treating two passengers who were on the bus. Unfortunately, their conditions are currently unknown.
