Missouri GOP Rejects ‘Honorary’ KKK Member Running for Governor

Mocobizscene – The Missouri GOP Party has disavowed a Republican candidate for governor after photographs of him standing alongside Ku Klux Klan members and displaying a Nazi salute surfaced. The state GOP revealed on Thursday that Darrell Leon McClanahan, a longshot in the crowded governor contest, had a KKK association that “fundamentally contradicts our party’s values and platform” and that party officials have begun the process of removing his name from the ballot. McClanahan responded on social media, calling the Missouri GOP “a bunch of anti-white hypocrites” and claiming they were aware of his identity. McClanahan sued the Anti-Defamation League last year, accusing the organization of defaming him by referring to him as a white supremacist online. He was, as he put it, a “pro-white man, horseman, politician, political prisoner-activist who is dedicated to traditional Christian values.” McClanahan also claimed that he was not a full-fledged member of the KKK and had just received a “honorary one-year membership.” A federal judge dismissed the complaint late last year, saying it “reflects that Plaintiff holds the views ascribed to him by the ADL article,” according to the Associated Press.
