Missing swimmer at Lake Lanier located unharmed

The sheriff’s office has confirmed that the missing man, who was last seen swimming in Lake Lanier, has been found safe.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Zachary Rutledge from Winder went missing on Monday at Burton Mill Park on Lake Lanier at approximately 8 p.m.

On Tuesday morning, Rutledge was confirmed to be found safe by Hall deputies. Currently, no further information has been disclosed regarding the matter.

While enjoying a swim with two companions, Rutledge abruptly disappeared from sight, leaving his friends bewildered and unsure of what had happened. The circumstances surrounding his sudden separation from his companions are still a mystery.
