Miami Guy Charged With Stealing $2k In Miromar Outlets Clothing

ESTERO, Florida — A Miami man was arrested for Christmas shopping after he allegedly stole over 90 shirts worth over $2,000 from a Miromar Outlets store.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the 54-year-old Juan De-Rivero was seen on video cameras entering a mall store with an empty brown Nike bag. After deciding to leave the business without paying a few minutes later, he had over ninety stolen clothes in his bag.
During the holidays, extra-patrol LCSO deputies at Miromar Outlets identified and spoke with De-Rivero. He acknowledged pilfering a sizable quantity of clothing from a mall store.

De-Rivero was a suspect in several felony theft cases at the mall since October, deputies were informed. According to LCSO, he has been arrested for theft in other Florida counties in the past.

De-Rivero is accused of stealing eight times. LCSO was able to retrieve every item that had been taken.
