Furkids Animal Rescue & Shelters received a distress call from concerned residents who had spotted a cat wandering the streets. Although unsure about the nature of the cat’s injury, the residents suspected that there was either an arrow or a dart lodged in the feline’s skull. After successfully capturing the cat, the rescue team was devastated to find out that the poor creature had actually been attacked with a crossbow.
According to a report by Fox 5 Atlanta, it took the animal shelter a total of five days to successfully trap the kitty in Roswell, Georgia. The urgency was evident as they discovered a crossbow bolt lodged in the poor feline’s skull. Diviya Roney, the director of programs for cats at Furkids, expressed the heartbreak and trauma experienced by their staff upon seeing such a distressing sight.
The shelter has given the name Patrick to the kitty. What’s more, Patrick has not only survived but has also successfully completed his rehabilitation. He has made a full recovery and is now ready to be adopted. Roney mentioned that after such a traumatic experience, Patrick needs a loving forever home that can provide him with a safe haven.
According to Diviya Roney, Patrick is a fortunate cat as he made a complete recovery and has no special requirements following the incident. He is capable of eating, drinking, and using his litterbox independently, ensuring that anyone who chooses to adopt him will not encounter any difficulties.
