Man killed in two-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles by authorities Identified

Mocobizscene- A motorist was killed and another motorist, who was allegedly driving while impaired, is now in custody on suspicion of murder following a two-vehicle crash in the Gramercy Park neighborhood, according to the police.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that a crash took place at the intersection of Western Avenue and Century Boulevard around 11:45 p.m. on Monday.

According to a statement from the LAPD, a Tesla Model 3 was driving southbound on Western Avenue at a high speed when it ran a red light and crashed into a Chevrolet Malibu that was traveling eastbound on Century Boulevard.

Police have identified the Tesla driver as Destiney Baker, a 26-year-old resident of Hawthorne. The police have arrested Baker on suspicion of murder, and he is currently being held on $2 million bail. According to the police, Baker is believed to have been driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
