Man killed in southwest Atlanta apartment complex shooting, currently under police investigation

On a Saturday morning, the police rushed to a neighborhood located in southwest Atlanta to investigate a fatal shooting.

According to the information provided by police at the location, a man in his early 20s was fatally shot at an apartment complex on Peyton Place, as reported by Bryan Mims from Channel 2.

According to Lt. Andrew Smith of the Atlanta Police Department, the gunfire originated from the street outside the apartment. The authorities were notified of the incident at approximately 3 a.m.

At present, individuals in the vicinity are being questioned by officers, but there is no update regarding any possible perpetrators.

According to Mims, the investigation is still ongoing, and as a result, there is a significant police presence in the vicinity.
