A man is in custody following an attempted armed robbery at an Indiana casino over the weekend.
According to our news partner WCPO in Cincinnati, Indiana State Police officers were rushed to the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, about 8 p.m., after receiving initial reports of an armed robbery.
The suspect left the scene, but Indiana State Police apprehended him in the woods near the casino.
A witness told WCPO that he “produced a gun and demanded money.” He made it to a cage in the center of the casino.
It was closed down between 8 and 9 p.m. while officers searched for the suspect, according to the WCPO.
There were no injuries recorded.
The casino is located off Interstate 275 at the border of Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
