Man Fatally injured in east Indianapolis shooting

INDIANAPOLIS: Tuesday night, there was a gunshot on the east side, and Indianapolis police are searching for the shooter.

About nine o’clock at night, according to an IMPD spokesperson, patrolling officers heard gunfire in the 300 block of North Sherman Drive. Officers discovered a person who appeared to have been shot while they were investigating.

The victim was transferred in critical condition to a hospital.

Soon after, someone appeared at Community East Hospital with what seemed to be a gunshot wound, prompting the contact of police. It was reported that the victim’s condition was stable. If the patient suffered any injuries during the incident on North Sherman Drive, police are looking into it.
