A man from Washington D.C., aged 37, has been convicted of murder on Thursday for a shooting incident that took place in 2020 at a bus stop in Southeast, according to court officials.
Christopher Washington, a 30-year-old man, was waiting at a bus stop on Southern Avenue, Southeast on September 23, 2020, around 2:24 p.m., as stated in court documents. Poe had just moments ago made a quick switch from his girlfriend’s car to the stolen pickup truck in a local church parking lot. With the new wheels, he was on a mission to find Washington.
Court documents reveal that Poe encountered Washington as he strolled along Indian Head Highway in Maryland. Poe proceeded to trail Washington, momentarily losing sight of him before spotting him once again at the bus stop. Court officials have confirmed that Poe, who was arrested on October 5, 2020, is due to be sentenced on April 19, 2024.
