A man was reportedly attacked in a parking garage at Newport Centre in Jersey City on Tuesday, December 5th, around 7:40 p.m. According to police, the man sustained two puncture wounds – one to his lower abdomen and another to the upper left side of his stomach.
According to a spokesperson from the city, it seems that the incident took place when a group of 5-6 young individuals reportedly hurled rocks and other objects at his vehicle.
The victim received immediate medical assistance from the responding officers until the arrival of the EMTs who then transported him to the hospital. As of press time, his condition was reported as stable.
According to the Jersey Journal, details regarding the incident remained unclear, but it was reported that the man had confronted the group.
