A new law has been enacted in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, that allocates funds to support the deployment of Louisiana National Guard troops to assist Texas in addressing the border crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border.
On March 7, Governor Jeff Landry signed House Bill 19 into law. This bill had been approved by the Louisiana Legislature during the Special Session.
The approved amount of $3 million will cover various expenses including pay, allowances, transportation, lodging, and meals.
LANG will deploy 50 soldiers to Texas at a time, with a rotation cycle of 30 days.
