Donald Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, has made a surprising admission that the former president is likely to be defeated in his impending criminal trial regarding hush money. There is a possibility that he may even face imprisonment.
Habba expressed her concerns in a Newsmax interview, stating that she doesn’t have high hopes that the New York courts or the jury will do the right thing. She believes that being in a blue state, everything is by design.
She emphasized the duration of the case, pointing out, “We are dealing with a case that is eight years old, which exceeds the statute of limitations. It was initially rejected by Cy Vance, the former Manhattan District Attorney, and was only brought back after President Trump announced his candidacy.”
As the legal spokesperson for Trump, Habba maintains close communication with him and is well-informed about his legal challenges, even though he does not directly represent him in the hush money lawsuit.
During the interview, Habba emphasized the significance of the number of people involved in the situation. He expressed his inability to discuss the specifics due to an unconstitutional gag order imposed by the American authorities. However, he urged everyone to consider the background of the team members and their origins. Habba found this aspect deeply concerning.
