Mocobizscene- The Los Angeles Police Department recently executed a search warrant at a business located in Westlake, as they suspect its involvement in a retail theft operation.

Officers from the Rampart Division confiscated stolen goods worth an estimated $600,000. A video captured the scene as officers loaded a semi-truck with a wide range of items, including diapers, computers, energy drinks, soft drinks, and even a firearm.
LAPD Captain Jay Roberts confirmed that four individuals have been taken into custody. A theft ring has been dismantled after authorities recovered approximately $500,000 worth of stolen goods from popular home improvement stores Home Depot and Lowe’s.
Retail theft in three cities in California has been identified as being among the worst in the United States, according to a recent study. As part of an effort to combat the sale of stolen goods, authorities have conducted a raid on a number of brick-and-mortar stores.
Sheriff Robert Luna revealed that within the last three months of its inception, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Burglary-Robbery Task Force has accomplished remarkable feats. They have successfully made 254 arrests, executed 142 search warrants, and managed to recover almost $600,000 worth of stolen merchandise.
The state awarded the sheriff’s department a grant of $15.6 million to combat organized retail theft.
