Lafayette shooting charges Indianapolis man

Lafayette, Ind- An Indianapolis man is being charged by Tippecanoe County prosecutors for allegedly firing at a house. It occurred on South 15th Street just before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, as News 18 previously reported.

According to court records, a woman asked 35-year-old Christopher Poole for a ride home while seeing her friend’s kids. She went back into her friend’s house after realizing that Poole was intoxicated. According to reports, Poole began pounding on the door and threatening the woman.

Poole allegedly aimed a gun at the woman and fired multiple bullets into the yard while the homeowner walked upstairs to contact the police.

According to the officers, Poole attempted to flee and was apprehended around 10th and South Streets. He is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm by a major violent felon, criminal recklessness, intimidation, and pointing a firearm.
