Amazon founder Jeff Bezos reclaimed his title as the wealthiest individual on the planet, surpassing Elon Musk on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
According to the tracker, Bezos’ current net worth is $200 billion, surpassing the $198 billion of the Tesla chief.
Elon Musk, the CEO of X, as well as Twitter and SpaceX, has experienced a significant decline in his wealth. Over the past few months, Tesla’s share price has fallen by 25 percent, resulting in a decrease of over $30 billion in Musk’s net worth.
In January, a court approved the annulment of Elon Musk’s colossal compensation agreement for Tesla. The agreement, which was originally reached in 2018, was valued at $55.8 billion.
In the meantime, Bezos, who is no longer in charge of Amazon, has reaped the rewards of the company’s soaring stock price.
Despite recently selling off $8.5 billion in shares, he still holds the largest stake in the company.
