Mocobizscene- The Homicide Branch of the Metropolitan Police Department is looking into a homicide investigation. On February 16, 2024, human remains were discovered in a Southwest wooded region, more precisely in the 4300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, the remains had begun to decompose.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner received the remains after they were moved there. After it was established that gunshot wounds were the cause of death, the case was labeled as a homicide. As of right moment, the victim’s identify remains unclear.
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that results in the identification and apprehension of the offending individual or individuals. The department is working to solve homicide cases in the District of Columbia, and this prize is one aspect of that work.
