Interview with Miss Idaho Reagan Yamauchi from Soda Springs

I had the opportunity to catch up with Reagan Yamauchi, the former Miss Idaho, to chat about her experiences and future plans. Let’s dive into her responses to our interview questions.

Reagan is dedicated to Idaho. She aims to actively participate in numerous events and remain deeply connected to the state she adores. With a desire to explore all the magnificent aspects of Idaho, Reagan intends to engage with schools, business gatherings, and community functions to fully immerse herself in the local experience.

Reagan: One of the most memorable experiences for me was attending the Governor’s Cup. It was a true blessing to have the opportunity to meet with the CEOs of Idaho’s biggest businesses. Additionally, I had a great time at the Capitol building, where I had the privilege of spending time with Sen. Mark Harris and learning about the behind-the-scenes workings of Idaho.

Reagan wants people to know that they can easily reach out to her at [email protected] in order to book her for their events. She understands that some people may hesitate to contact her, thinking that she is too busy. However, Reagan assures everyone in Idaho that they should not be afraid to reach out. While there may be some scheduling adjustments required, she encourages everyone to get in touch and explore the possibility of booking her for their event.

Reagan: When I have some free time, I like to unwind and spend quality moments with my family and loved ones.

Reagan believes that the best advice she could give to young girls is to pursue their passions. She herself did not fit the typical stereotype of a “pageant girl” and instead focused on following her other dreams. It was only later on that she realized how these dreams were connected to her ability to influence others, leading her to explore the world of pageantry. However, Reagan emphasizes that whether or not pageantry is the right path for someone, what truly matters is doing what you love.

Reagan plans to complete her bachelor’s degree in business at BYU-Idaho after her tenure as Miss Idaho.

Who are some influential women in your life, especially in recognition of International Women’s Day on March 8th?

Reagan attributes her life’s successes to her mother, expressing deep gratitude and admiration on International Women’s Day. She acknowledges that without her mother’s influence, she would not have achieved the many accomplishments she has. Her mother serves as a shining example and a source of inspiration, along with her father, for Reagan. She concludes by emphasizing that words alone cannot adequately convey her appreciation.
