Individual apprehended for breaking into a residence, assaulting the occupant, and taking a backpack.

A man from Raleigh County has been taken into custody for breaking into someone’s home, physically assaulting the resident, and making off with his backpack, according to reports from Charleston, WV (LOOTPRESS).

As per the criminal complaint, the victim reported to the police on Sunday, June 30, that a man named “Country” had barged into his residence, punched him in the face, and snatched his backpack. The incident took place in Charleston.

Inside the backpack, there were three cell phones, the victim’s car keys, and the car title.

The individual identified as “Country” was actually a 38-year-old man named Aaron Simmons from Lester.

After being arrested on other charges, Simmons was taken to the police station.

During the station interview, Simmons confessed to being present at the victim’s residence. Furthermore, he had a right-hand injury, which supported the victim’s account.

The nose of the victim was injured.

Simmons was found with both the cell phones and car title in his possession.
