Identification of the Victim Found in Savannah River

Positive identification has been made a week after a body was discovered in the Savannah River in Augusta, Georgia.

According to the Richmond County Coroner’s Office, the victim has been identified as Jermaine Pate from Georgiana, Alabama.

On the morning of July 19, Pate’s remains were discovered in the Savannah River.

According to the coroner’s office, they sent his body to the GBI lab for an autopsy.

Police have arrested Tamiko Shynese Bolton, aged 36, in connection with the murder of Elias Jkhael Delk on June 15th. The incident occurred along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

According to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen, he received a call at 8:18 a.m. about a body that was discovered in the river at the 600 block of Riverfront Drive.

According to officials, a 911 call was made by a fisherman who discovered the body.

At 8:50 a.m., the area was declared safe and the scene was cleared.

Autopsy results are still pending, according to the coroner’s office.
