Human Remains Found in Southwest DC Trash Can, Homicide Investigation Underway

Washington, D.C. –Human remains were discovered in a garbage can in Southwest Washington, D.C., which prompted a homicide inquiry. This was a disturbing discovery. The incident happened on Wednesday just before 9:30 a.m., and authorities were called to the 1400 block of Canal Street SW.

When officials got there, they found an adult man’s remains inside the trash bin. Since then, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has determined that a homicide caused the death. The victim’s identity has not yet been revealed, though, as his family has not yet been notified. The authorities have not yet disclosed any particulars regarding the homicide.

This unsettling situation is still being looked into. The victim’s identity and the circumstances surrounding the finding are being actively investigated by the Washington, D.C.
