Human Remains Discovered in the Schuylkill River

Philadelphia police reported that a marine unit was called to the scene near Spring Garden Street at approximately 3:40 p.m., after a body was discovered floating in the river.

The authorities have identified the deceased as a black male in his 30s, who went by the name “John Doe.” Medics from Medic 13 pronounced him dead at 5:10 p.m.

The initial evaluations suggest that there are no indications of any physical injuries or trauma. As the investigation continues, additional information will be shared.
