Former North Dakota First Lady Grace Link, age 105, passed away in Bismarck.

Art Link, the husband of the remarkable woman, served as the governor of North Dakota from 1973 to 1981. He had an illustrious political career, which included years of service in the North Dakota Legislature and one term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

He passed away in 2010.

Gov. Doug Burgum praised Grace Link as a committed and enthusiastic public servant, who has dedicated herself to serving both the state of North Dakota and our nation.

According to him, the Links are considered as one of North Dakota’s “truly legendary couples.”

The Democratic-NPL has been presenting the Art and Grace Link Lifetime Achievement Award to individuals from North Dakota who exemplify a strong commitment to serving their state and nation.
