Governor appoints Jannette Mondragón as Magistrate Judge for Doña Ana County

Attorney Jannette Mondragón has been appointed to the position of municipal judge in Doña Ana County Magistrate Court.

On Friday, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced the appointment of Mondragón to the vacant seat that was left when Rebecca Duffin became a Third Judicial District Court Judge in January. Duffin had served in the position for five years.

Mondragón graduated from New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico School of Law, as stated in a recent press release.

Recently, she represented the State of New Mexico in child support cases, providing legal support. Additionally, she has gained experience as a staff attorney at the Border Immigration Law and Justice Center and as a senior trial attorney for the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
