Fundraising Campaign on GoFundMe Created to Cover Funeral Expenses of 12-Year-Old Boy Who Died from Gunshot

Early morning on Monday, Lemus Ayala was discovered lying just a few feet away from a 30-foot drop into a dry riverbed. He was found in the sparse brush alongside Sand Canyon Road, approximately one mile south of Placerita Canyon Road.

Upon arrival, emergency responders declared Lemus Ayala deceased on-site, although initial reports had indicated that the gunshot victim was an adult male. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office later conducted an examination and reported that Lemus Ayala had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

As of Wednesday, there is no information available regarding a possible suspect in the case, nor has it been revealed whether Lemus Ayala was reported missing prior to his discovery.

Investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are currently examining the possibility that this particular incident might be connected to gang activity. At present, it is unclear whether Lemus Ayala was murdered at the spot or moved to the site post his demise.

According to the donation page, all the funds received through GoFundMe will be utilized to cover Lemus Ayala’s funeral expenses and assist his mother in coping with this sorrowful phase. To make a donation, kindly click here.
