GBI seeks to solve cold case of 1988 murder of man in Milledgeville

The hunt is on for the culprit who took the life of a Milledgeville resident in the late 1980s, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Edward Gholson, aged 78, was discovered deceased in his residence on North Jefferson Street on Tuesday, February 9, 1988.

The authorities have determined that his demise was classified as a homicide.

He was last spotted alive at a local restaurant that morning.

An insurance agent discovered his lifeless body at his residence around 1 p.m.
