Former officer goes on trial today for abduction and killing of Gwinnett teenager

The trial of a former metro Atlanta police officer accused of killing a 16-year-old is set to commence on Monday.

The trial of Miles Bryant is set to begin with the commencement of jury selection at 9 a.m.

Miles was employed as a Doraville police officer and also served as a courtesy officer at the apartment complex where the teenager was last seen. However, he was subsequently terminated by the department.
