Former Mississippi governor’s son apprehended for unauthorized entry

A recent incident has led to the arrest of the son of a former Mississippi governor. The news comes from Madison, Mississippi where the arrest was made.

On Thursday, June 6, Madison police arrested Haley Reeves Barbour, Jr., 44, for trespassing at a residence in a Madison neighborhood.

Haley Barbour, who served as the Governor of Mississippi from 2004 to 2012, is the father of Barbour Jr.

Barbour Jr. appeared in Madison Municipal Court on Thursday afternoon for his initial hearing, during which his bond was set at $1,000. Following the hearing, he was taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

According to The Clarion Ledger, Barbour, Jr. has a history of legal troubles. In fact, he was previously convicted of a simple assault charge stemming from a 2015 incident in Washington.
