Florida woman loses $350,000 in stolen identity case, Georgia woman arrested

The Gwinnett County Electronic and Financial Crimes Unit is seeking assistance in identifying a woman who allegedly defrauded a local bank of more than $350,000.

On January 19, a woman walked into a bank situated at 2437 Loganville Highway in Grayson and proceeded to open an account using the personal information of a Florida resident. Officials have reported this incident.

The suspect successfully deposited a stolen check worth more than $350,000. Subsequently, on February 1, the identical woman revisited the bank and proceeded to withdraw the cash.

The victim, whose identity was stolen, filed an initial report with the police in Florida.
