In a remarkable display of heroism, Cobb County firefighters successfully resuscitated a man who had suffered a heart attack. Their quick thinking and efficient response played a crucial role in saving the man’s life.
As soon as he completed his workout and got back to his car, a 48-year-old man began to feel chest pain and immediately dialed 911 for help.
Upon the arrival of the firefighters, they conducted an EKG on him and concluded that he was experiencing a heart attack.
After the man became unresponsive, firefighters quickly sprang into action and extracted him from his vehicle. Without wasting any time, they initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to revive him.
After administering two shocks with a defibrillator, he regained consciousness and was able to communicate effectively.
Afterwards, he received medical attention at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.
