Fiery crash involving multiple vehicles on Mississippi interstate results in one fatality

Over the weekend, a collision between multiple vehicles occurred on the Mississippi interstate, resulting in a fiery crash that claimed the life of one individual.

According to Mississippi Highway Patrol officials, a crash occurred on Interstate 20 near Edwards in Hinds County.

According to reports, three cars and two 18-wheelers were involved in the accident.

According to authorities, a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner crashed into a 1998 Freightliner, which subsequently collided with a 2023 Freightliner.

In the accident, the 2023 Ford Maverick was hit by the Toyota 4-Runner. Apart from this, a 2019 GMC Acadia veered off the road and crashed into a ditch located in the median.

Two individuals were taken to a nearby medical facility due to injuries.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
