Federal Prosecutor Claims Diddy-Cassie Video Compromises Investigation Progress

An ex-federal prosecutor has shared her thoughts on Diddy’s assault video, stating that while it may not be a definitive piece of evidence in the ongoing investigation, it certainly does not work in his favor.

During an interview on “TMZ Live” on Friday, we had the opportunity to speak with Katie Cherkasky, a seasoned legal expert who has dealt with similar cases in the past. She expressed her concerns about the now-viral video depicting Diddy physically assaulting Cassie, stating that it should be a cause for worry for Diddy and his team.

According to Katie, the tape provides credibility to Cassie on various levels. It not only enhances her image in the public eye but also strengthens her case with federal authorities who are currently investigating serious allegations against Diddy.

According to her, the federal authorities have no plans to press charges against him for the crimes shown in the video, specifically assault. However, she does acknowledge that this footage could potentially provide valuable leads and evidence in their ongoing investigation, which could strengthen their case.

It is worth noting that in her lawsuit, Cassie alleged that one of Diddy’s alleged encounters happened at the same hotel during the same period as this incident. This raises the possibility that investigators will be keen to obtain additional surveillance footage that could potentially substantiate her claim.

According to Katie, prosecutors are currently focused on uncovering independent evidence to support the other allegations against him, despite the fact that the footage partially contradicts his denial.

TMZ was the first to report that Cassie is actively cooperating with the federal authorities in their investigation into Diddy’s alleged involvement in sex trafficking. This investigation has included raids on Diddy’s residences in Los Angeles and Miami.

Diddy vehemently denied all of Cassie’s allegations, including the claim that he physically assaulted her at a hotel. In a social media post last December, he maintained his innocence and refuted her accusations. However, recent developments suggest that Cassie may have been telling the truth about this particular incident.
