Early Monday, a shooting occurred in northwest Atlanta resulting in the loss of one life.
Atlanta police officers have responded to a shooting incident that occurred on the 800 block of Thurmond Street, located in Vine City, a historic neighborhood.
Upon arriving at the scene, Steve Gehlbach of Channel 2 News was informed by the homicide commander that a male individual in his thirties was discovered deceased inside a residential property.
According to investigators, the individual who lost their life was engaged in a shootout.
It is suspected that the shooting was connected to drugs.
Police have reported that a surveillance camera captured two suspects fleeing from the scene.
The homicide investigators have arrived at the scene presently.
