Duluth Police Officer Assists Teen Trying to Walk Home to North Carolina

The Duluth Police Department is not just focused on enforcing the law; it also deeply values the well-being of humanity.

One chilly morning in February, Officer Seiferheld and Corporal Simmons came across a 19-year-old who was walking with a suitcase and had only five quarters in his pocket.

During their conversation with the teenager, the officers discovered that he was attempting to travel to North Carolina. However, he lacked the necessary means to complete his journey back home.

Despite their best efforts to arrange transportation or contact someone who could assist him, the department stated that their endeavors appeared unpromising.
