Doug Emhoff, the Second Gentleman, confirms his COVID-19 infection, according to his office.

On Saturday, the office of Doug Emhoff, the Second Gentleman and husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

On Sunday, Liza Acevedo, the Communications Director for Doug Emhoff, announced that the Second Gentleman had tested positive for COVID-19. Despite being fully vaccinated and having received three booster shots, Emhoff had been experiencing mild symptoms. Fortunately, he is currently asymptomatic and is working remotely while remaining isolated at home.

Acevedo stated that yesterday, the Vice President underwent COVID-19 testing as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, she tested negative and remains asymptomatic.

A few days ago, Emhoff joined Harris, President Joe Biden, and first lady Jill Biden at the White House to celebrate Independence Day.
