DC government fraud: MPD officer arrested for alleged involvement

Mocobizscene- A Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer has been arrested on charges of defrauding the D.C. government, according to DC News Now. Marc Davis, who had been with the department since October 2014, was apprehended on January 30th and is now facing first-degree fraud charges.

Between August 27, 2021, and June 7, 2023, it was uncovered that Davis had been working a second job while simultaneously reporting his duty with MPD. On June 12, 2023, his police powers were taken away and he was put on a “non-contact status.”
