Davie mother charged with kidnapping eight-month-old daughter

Mocobizscene- An arrest has been made for the mother of an eight-month-old girl who was the focus of a statewide Amber Alert on Wednesday. The 34-year-old Arys Martinez is accused of kidnapping a child under the age of thirteen.

Amelia Martinez was taken from her daycare on Tuesday by her father, Jacob Howard, and given to her mother, Arys, according to Davie police. Following her disappearance, a warning was sent out speculating that she would be traveling to Orlando with her mother.

The mother and daughter were discovered at a Pembroke Pines mobile home park some hours later. What he observed was relayed by a neighbor.

“A child-bearing SWAT member dashed across the street to the truck. He stated, “They brought out the woman in handcuffs a few minutes later.

Howard was taken into custody as well. He faces accusations of meddling in a minor’s custody. Additionally, according to Davie police, Amelia’s parents’ parental rights were just revoked.
