Commuters using NJ Transit and Amtrak from New York Penn Station face further extended delays

During the evening commute, NJ Transit reported that rail service to and from New York Penn Station experienced delays of up to 45 minutes due to a track condition caused by Amtrak.

No details were provided by the agency on the track condition in Secaucus.

Trains from Amtrak and NJ Transit were forced to share a single track for travel between the city and Newark, New Jersey.

NJ Transit bus, private carriers, and PATH honored rail tickets and passes at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken Terminal, and 33rd Street New York.

NJT encouraged its customers to take action.
