Child injured in I-75 crash, 5, discharged from hospital and on track for full recovery

After losing his parents, brothers, and a college student in a devastating crash, a brave 5-year-old has finally been discharged from the hospital.

Noah Mason’s family has announced on a GoFundMe page that doctors from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta have discharged him on Friday afternoon.

Noah’s family received the reassuring news from the doctors that they anticipate a complete recovery for the 5-year-old. Currently, Noah is back home with his grandmother, who took to social media to share the following heartfelt message.

“We are thrilled that our beloved Noah is on his way to his new home. Although he still has a journey ahead, the future looks promising. We will never fully recover from the loss of his family and ours. However, we have been blessed with a five-year-old who constantly reminds us to stay active and not dwell in sadness. Once again, we sincerely appreciate all the prayers, gifts, food, toys, and the support we received from those who stepped in when we couldn’t be in two places at once. Special thanks to the kind souls who took care of their lawn,” she expressed with gratitude.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors, counselors, tech people, the group in the PICU, the ones from PT, and even the officers in the lobby who were always eager for updates and offered their prayers at Scottish Rite. She acknowledged their invaluable support and emphasized that they played a vital role in their journey. She fondly cherished each and every one of them and would forever be thankful. She concluded by sending her blessings to all of them.

The donations from the GoFundMe will cover the costs of Noah’s future medical expenses as well as the funeral expenses for his parents and brothers. If you’d like to contribute, you can make a donation here.
